Picture it: Monte Carlo, spring 2025. The town is abuzz with hype for the upcoming Formula 1 Grand Prix. Just meters away from the famed Rascasse and Anthony Noghès corners, a new go-kart track has opened. But this is no ordinary track; BOX 98 Monaco combines the track design genius of three-time Italian champion Paolo Gagliardini and the entrepreneurial spirit of racing driver Clivio Piccione. It was destined to play a major role in the world of karting and motorsport, and I was honored to have designed the inaugural liveries for its fleet.
Karting has long been the proving ground for future racing heroes. Many F1 stars like Charles Leclerc, Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Carlos Sainz—who was even present for the inauguration of BOX 98 Monaco—all started behind the wheel of a go-kart. To watch karting is, therefore, to glimpse the future. It only makes sense, then, to keep an eye on the karting world to find tomorrow’s champions.
In light of this, BOX 98 Monaco has now joined forces with the famed jewelry brand APM Monaco to create APM Champions by BOX 98: an opportunity for those who might not otherwise get an entry ticket to the motorsport world, a challenge allowing fifteen children aged 7-10 to compete over the next 8 months. The grand prize? €30,000 to kickstart their motorsport career!
To celebrate, BOX 98 Monaco commissioned me to design three new liveries for their all-electric fleet of Sodikart RSX2s, LRX2s, and X2DRIVEs. Building on their original aesthetic, I further refined the lines, emphasized their speed and elegance, and infused the vibrance of APM Monaco’s signature navy blue.
With this project now completed and debuted, I can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s champions accomplish.
